Settle the process first, then build the system to match

The plant is not asked to change its process to fit a standard product. Development follows the existing document flow and job split; modules are quoted separately and can go live independently. Suited to steps that are already stable but not covered by the current system.

Scope

Eight modules, combined as needed

No need to buy the whole set. Start with the one or two modules that most affect delivery, then add.

01

Order management

Customer orders, delivery-date splitting, changes and inserted orders, with price history by customer and part number.

02

Planning and scheduling

Work-order breakdown, material availability checks, scheduling by line and equipment capacity, with shortages surfaced early.

03

Warehouse management

Receiving, put-away, kitting, issuing, transfers, counting and leftover control, with bins bound to lot numbers.

04

Production management

Dispatch, station pass-through, production reporting, piece-rate counting and WIP quantity, with progress by work order and operation.

05

Equipment management

Equipment register, inspections, maintenance plans and repair records, with downtime classified by cause.

06

Tooling management

Registers for stencils, jigs and test fixtures, with usage counts, life reminders and borrow and return records.

07

Purchasing management

Requisitions, quotations, arrivals and supplier delivery records, with incoming defects returned by lot.

08

Cost management

Collection rules for labour, material and defect cost, with actual cost calculated per work order.

Module boundaries follow your existing document flow, not fixed bundles. Start with one, or connect the ERP modules you already have.

Delivery process

Five steps, each with a sign-off

Development starts only after the prototype and field list are confirmed, so nothing has to be rebuilt afterwards.

  1. 01

    Process review

Shadow the job to understand the document flow, and confirm what is entered at each step and how exceptions are handled.

  2. 02

    Prototype sign-off

Screen prototypes and field lists are produced and confirmed before development is scheduled.

  3. 03

    Development and commissioning

Built module by module; ERP, barcode and equipment interfaces are commissioned in parallel.

  4. 04

    Trial run

Runs in parallel with the existing practice for one or two settlement cycles to reconcile the figures.

  5. 05

    Acceptance and handover

Accepted module by module; source code, database schema and operating documents handed over.

Deliverables

What you get at the end

Deliverables are written into the contract annex and checked item by item at acceptance.

  • 01
Source code and database schema documentation

Project source and table-structure notes, so the system can be maintained in-house or handed to another team.

  • 02
    Interface documentation

Fields, call methods and error codes for the ERP, barcode and equipment interfaces.

  • 03
    Deployment package and installation guide

Server deployment steps, dependencies, and backup and restore procedures.

  • 04
    Training and user manuals

One session for administrators and one for key users; manuals split by role.

Next step

Describe the process and the documents first

Say which system is in use now, which steps are still manual and which module comes first. Scope and schedule are quoted per module.
